Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Karelia: “The new format of the chapter’s report speaks of the openness of power”

The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Karelia shared with our publication his opinion on the annual report of the head of the republic, Artur Parfenchikov, to deputies of the regional Legislative Assembly. First of all, Alexander Lysenkovsky noted the new format of the report, the first part of which was attended not only by deputies, but also by representatives of local government, participants in a special military operation and their families, as well as teachers, doctors, representatives of public organizations, the clergy and business.

“The new format speaks of the openness of the authorities, their desire to talk about their work, their achievements, and the issues they face. Build a dialogue with public organizations and the business community,” Alexander Lysenkovsky told reporters. “I would say that this is a very rich and serious report – almost all areas of life in the republic are covered, I was very pleased with the figures on industrial production, the number of small and medium-sized enterprises and the self-employed. Along with the achievements, the main issue that now faces business is noted: personnel. Now the government of the republic has developed a strategy for training personnel for our enterprises.”

In his report, the head of the republic, Artur Parfenchikov, noted that last year, small and medium-sized businesses, thanks to investments, created and modernized a thousand jobs in the region. At the end of 2023, the volume of capital investments of large and medium-sized enterprises reached 77.3 billion rubles, another 26.3 billion were invested in small businesses. The head of the region set a task for the government this year to maintain the level of 100 billion rubles of investment in the regional economy.

Let us recall that the head of Karelia, Artur Parfenchikov, spoke in the Philharmonic hall with an annual report on the work of the government to the deputies of the Legislative Assembly. This year, representatives of local government, participants in a special military operation and their families, as well as teachers, doctors, representatives of public organizations, the clergy and business were invited to the report of the head of the region.
