47 representatives of the postal sector from cities and villages of the region competed for leadership.

The postal department said that the results of the regional stage of the All-Russian competition of professional skills of the Russian Post were summed up in Novosibirsk. This year, representatives of five professions competed for the title of the best: postmen, operators, post office managers, drivers and sorters.

At the theoretical stage, the jury assessed knowledge of regulatory documents: rules for the provision of services, labor protection, postal security, first aid, and others. The second stage concerned practical tasks, for example, competitors had to demonstrate the ability to drive a car, change tires, knowledge of receiving and processing correspondence for sorters, and the like.

Director of the Siberia macroregion Alexander Zavyalov explained that postman, operator, driver, department head, and sorter are the main professions at the post office. “These people are in contact with clients more often than others; the speed and quality of service depends on their work. That is why it is so important that they perform their duties at a high level. Russian Post offers opportunities to improve your skills and undergo training. But participation in such competitions, and even more so, victory, is additional proof of professionalism,” he believes.

The competition ended with summing up the results. The winner in the category “Best Postman” was Natalya Shilko from the city of Karasuk. The title of “Best Driver” was awarded to Vladislav Leonidov, a postal convoy worker from Novosibirsk. Based on the results of the competition, Irina Dashevskaya from the city of Toguchin was recognized as the best postal operator. First place among post office chiefs was won by Evgenia Alekseeva from Novosibirsk. The top three among sorters was headed by Evgeniy Mantsevich from the main sorting center of the city of Novosibirsk.

The winners of the competition were given valuable gifts. The winners of first places in each profession will have to take part in the macro-regional stage of Siberia, which will take place on the eve of Russian Post Day. And the winners of the Siberia macroregion will take part in the finals of the All-Russian Professional Skills Competition.
