The modernization of heating mains in Volgograd began immediately after the end of the next heating season. The new pipeline, or rather a 300-meter section, will be laid on Zemlyachki Street in the Dzerzhinsky district.
The company said that the thermal main supplies resources to 164 residential buildings with 50 thousand residents, as well as 14 kindergartens, three medical institutions and 13 schools.
This is a new, but not the first stage of work on this network: since 2019, 1,200 linear meters of pipeline with a diameter of 800 mm have been replaced on this network. In 2023, specialists from the resource supply organization replaced 260 linear meters of pipeline with a diameter of 1000 mm on the street. Zemlyachki, 7 on the territory of the motor plant is the largest diameter of the pipe used in the heat supply system in Volgograd. Upon completion of the next stage, the reliability of resource supply and the quality of service will increase significantly.
The second strategically important reconstruction object will be the heating main on Irkutskaya Street in the Voroshilovsky district; it has not been thoroughly updated since it was put into operation in 1975. Here, 400 linear meters of pipeline will be replaced in several stages, without disconnecting consumers from the resource.
The heating main supplies resources to 80 residential buildings, eight kindergartens and five educational institutions and one medical institution, etc. According to the chief engineer of the Heat Supply Concession, Alexey Gulyaev, the facility uses pipes with factory-made polymer-mineral foam insulation, which reduces installation time and reduces heat loss.
We would like to add that the replacement of sections of the heating network coincided and was synchronized with the work to expand the roadway along Irkutskaya Street.
