A plot of land for the construction of a military hospital was allocated in the Right Bank District of Irkutsk. We will begin developing a roadmap in the near future. The governor of the Irkutsk region Igor spoke about this on April 25, 2024, speaking at the report of the mayor of the city Ruslan Bolotov, the press service of the regional government reports.
– I already said in my message that the construction of a modern military hospital in Irkutsk is one of our priorities. The building of the existing hospital does not fully meet modern requirements. City authorities are actively engaged in this work. We, in turn, are ready in the near future to join in the work on developing a road map, conducting geotechnical surveys, and preparing design estimates,” emphasized Igor Kobzev.
It is planned that the new building of the medical institution will house an administrative and outpatient building, a medical and diagnostic building, a ward building with 150 beds, and an infectious diseases building. There will also be auxiliary premises: a laundry room, a garage and warehouse building, a catering unit with a food warehouse and others.
Let us recall that the head of the region, Igor Kobzev, reported on the initiative to build a modern military hospital in Irkutsk at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin. The issue of choosing a site was carefully studied together with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and city authorities.
Previously, the construction of the institution was planned on the territory of the IVATU town. Due to restrictions associated with the location of IVATU within the borders of the airfield sanitary zone, a decision was made to change the land plot.
