In Smolensk, operatives closed down an illegal workshop for the production of smoked fish, which operated in the Zadneprovsky district of the regional center.

Here the fish was not only smoked in unsanitary conditions, but also salted. And the raw materials for the manufacture of the product were frozen carcasses. You could buy smoked fish right here, in the workshop, or in one of the stores in the city where the entrepreneur supplied the product.

“Moreover, the entrepreneur did not have documentation for carrying out activities and certificates of conformity,” said the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Smolensk region.

In total, there were 170 kg of fish in the workshop during the operatives’ visit.

The police drew up an administrative protocol under Art. 14.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Carrying out business activities without state registration or without special permission (license).”

The materials will be transferred to the regional Office of Rospotrebnadzor for taking appropriate measures.
