A migrant from Central Asia suspected of committing a robbery in Chelyabinsk was detained in Sevastopol. This was reported by the press service of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for Sevastopol.
According to the department, in 2018, a 30-year-old foreigner, who met a resident of Chelyabinsk through social networks, during a meeting at his home, demanded that the Chelyabinsk resident exchange smartphones. He refused, then the migrant began to threaten the man with a knife, and the foreigner’s friend “helped immobilize him and threatened to beat him,” the police said. After that, the raiders took a mobile phone worth 45 thousand rubles, clothes and food from a Chelyabinsk resident. After committing the crime, the attackers fled.
Law enforcement officers established that after the robbery in Chelyabinsk, the suspect moved to Sevastopol, where he was detained. The attacker was taken to Chelyabinsk.
In addition, Sevastopol police revealed violations by a foreigner of the regime of stay on Russian territory and the fact of providing false information when carrying out migration registration. This ultimately led to the revocation of my temporary residence permit in the Russian Federation.
