Capital services are completing the relaying of gas pipelines as part of the construction of new tracks for the first Moscow Central Diameter (MCD-1). This was reported on the official website of the Moscow mayor.
“Specialists from the capital’s gas industry are completing the relaying of gas pipelines as part of the construction of new tracks for the first Moscow Central Diameter. On the Moscow-Tovarnaya-Smolenskaya – Moscow-Butyrskaya section, the third and fourth main tracks are being installed, and the station at the Moscow-Pasazhirskaya-Smolenskaya station is being reconstructed,” the statement says.
In total, more than 1.5 kilometers of gas pipeline need to be laid in this section. For high-quality and efficient work, specialists use trenchless technologies: microtunneling and auger drilling.
In November 2023, specialists completed the relaying of low-pressure gas pipelines, and the reconstruction of medium-pressure gas pipelines is planned to be completed in April 2024.
