Yesterday in Ulyanovsk they began acaricidal treatment of parks. The head of the city, Alexander Boldakin, instructed to speed up work to combat ticks in green areas.
On Wednesday, chemicals harmful to bloodsuckers were sprayed in Victory, Pribrezhny and Mechanics parks. Today, April 25, acaricidal treatment is planned in four more zones: in the territory of the Family, Molodezhny, Vinnovskaya Grove and Vladimirsky Garden parks. On Friday, work will be carried out in the park of the 40th anniversary of the Komsomol.
The planned work is expected to be completed by April 30. So the park season will start on May 1 in safer conditions.
As Mayis Dadashov, deputy head of the Ulyanovsk parks directorate, said, notices warn park guests about acaricidal work. On the days of anti-tick treatment, you should refrain from visiting green areas.
Note that it is preferable to carry out such treatment in the spring, since mites become active and reproduce in warm weather. Special substances will neutralize them and prevent them from multiplying further. Fortunately, no cases of parasites being sucked on in city parks have been recorded so far. Although Rospotrebnadzor has already recorded more than 40 calls to doctors in the region with such problems.
