Residents of the Tver region are asked to wear St. George ribbons near their hearts

On April 24, the All-Russian event “St. George’s Ribbon” started in the Tver region. In Tver, at the military memorial “Smolensk Fraternal Burial”, in honor of the start of the action, an event was held, in which representatives of public associations, authorities, the “First Movement”, schoolchildren, students, Youth Army members, cadets of the VA East Kazakhstan region named after. During the days of the action, millions of people attach the St. George Ribbon to their clothes, publicly demonstrating their respect for the soldiers who fought for the Fatherland and national pride for the Great Victory.

In the Tver region, the action will last until May 9 and will cover all municipalities. “Victory Volunteers”, activists of youth associations, students and schoolchildren will distribute St. George’s ribbons at patriotic rallies, ceremonial processions and simply on city streets, telling fellow countrymen about the history of this symbol and the rules for wearing it.
