Over the course of two thousand and twenty-three, more than eleven thousand consultations were conducted. This form of interaction between doctors helps to adjust the patient’s treatment if necessary.

Rybinsk Hospital No. 1 also conducts teleconsultations today. Doctors at the local Outpatient Cancer Care Center received recommendations from doctors in the regional capital. The examinations were carried out in Rybinsk, and proposals for treatment tactics were promptly received from Yaroslavl.

Alexander Kornilov, acting head physician of Rybinsk hospital No. 1:
– We can send information the day before. They will already get acquainted with it and immediately make a definite decision on what the patient will do next and where to receive treatment. It turns out that given the current times, a person does not necessarily have to go to the regional center. Of course that’s wonderful. Today there are opportunities that allow us to do this today. We understand that this consultation is important not only for patients. Perhaps even this doctor himself, who is consulting. We are all learning.

Sergei Lugansky, Minister of Health of the Yaroslavl Region:
– We already use telemedicine consultations not only on the territory of the subject, not only in terms of the exchange of medical documentation, we provide consultations directly through video. This also happens with federal clinics. These are our level 3 institutions, and the regional adult, and the regional children’s, and the oncology hospital, where we are located, also uses this type of consultation. In general, it is believed that the more sick the patient is or the more difficult it is for the medical staff to understand, the more mandatory a telemedicine consultation is.
