Igor Dokuchaev: Organized children’s leisure is insurance against the troubles of a big city

More than 70 thousand children will rest in summer camps in the Tver region. On April 23, at a meeting of the Government of the Tver Region, the upcoming health campaign 2024 was discussed.

The editor of the newspaper “MK in Tver” Igor Dokuchaev comments on the topic:

— Children learn something new, even if they are not sitting at their desk. Comprehension of the world is a normal state for them, so it is important that the world turns on its best side towards them. Many children are left to their own devices in the summer, having fun as best they can, sometimes without realizing the danger. Another thing is organized leisure time at a summer camp. These are vivid impressions and a certain insurance against the troubles of a big city. It’s good that the Russian state is organizing such leisure activities for children; few countries provide their citizens with such services at an affordable level.

“The number of camps in which children can not only have an interesting holiday, but also spend their holidays usefully and gain work skills is growing significantly. It is necessary to maintain these trends,” said Governor Igor Rudenya.
