A meeting of the Russian State Council Commission on Industry was held in Tula

On April 24, a meeting of the Commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation in the direction of “Industry” was held in Tula. The event was attended by Governor of the Tula Region Alexey Dyumin, Secretary of the State Council Igor Levitin and Deputy Chairman of the Government – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov. This was reported by Tula News.

Those present discussed the framework of which national projects will manage the development of industrial sectors.

Alexey Dyumin recalled that according to the government report, in 2023 the growth of industrial production in the country exceeded forecasts. In general, production grew by 3.5%, and the manufacturing sector – by 7.5%; its share in the GDP structure also increased to almost 13%. The most significant growth was demonstrated by the machine-building complex.

– Technological sovereignty projects will allow us to bring the entire economy to a qualitatively new level of efficiency and competitiveness. Including the development of means of production, robotics, new materials, chemistry and other areas,” the governor emphasized.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov noted that the Russian government has identified measures, tools and amounts of funding for the development of aircraft and shipbuilding, and the radio-electronic industry. Special requirements will be placed on meeting deadlines for achieving results.

According to him, the directions of technological sovereignty have been determined, they will be implemented in the format of national projects. In this regard, the government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have begun relevant work.

– A federal project for the production of means of production has been adopted. A federal project on robotics is currently being prepared, taking into account the task set by the President of the Russian Federation to enter the TOP 25 countries in this area. The national project on new materials and chemical products is also at a high level of readiness,” Manturov said.

During the meeting, approaches to the implementation of new national projects to ensure technological sovereignty were discussed.
