At the opening of Zarnitsa 2.0, Sevastopol schoolchildren demonstrated drill skills

The regional stage of the military-patriotic game “Zarnitsa 2.0” is taking place in Sevastopol. Participants: 12 school teams. On April 23, they competed in accuracy – the guys shot from an air rifle. The official opening took place the next day, Wednesday. After the solemn ceremony, young patriots demonstrated teamwork at a drill competition.

According to the tradition of the game, at the ceremonial formation the schoolchildren took the oath of the lightning striker.

At the opening of the regional stage of the game, the teams that showed themselves best at the municipal level gathered together.

IVAN DEMIDOV, director of the Center for Military-Patriotic Education of Students in Sevastopol: “We now have 120 people in the finals – that’s twelve teams, three from each district of our city.”

ANNA MOLCHANOVA, chairman of the board of the Sevastopol branch of the organization “Movement of the First”: “The participants in the game are not just members of the Youth Army, they are those who every day help the special operation fighters with their good deeds. They write letters, they really support our city and try to make it better, including by participating in the game. They acquire the skills that help every Sevastopol resident in emergency situations. I hope, of course, that the guys won’t need them, but this knowledge is very important in the current life situation.”

The regional stage of the game “Zarnitsa 2.0” among schoolchildren aged 11-13 takes place over four days: from April 23 to 26. Every day, new military-applied competitions and theoretical assignments await the children.

IVAN DEMIDOV, director of the Center for Military-Patriotic Education of Students in Sevastopol: “Throughout the finals of the regional stage of the game, the guys will have various tasks, starting from theoretical training, where they must pass a test on knowledge of the regulations of military service, on knowledge of the history of our country. There will also be many practical tasks, such as: assembling and disassembling a Kalashnikov assault rifle, equipping a magazine with training cartridges, providing first aid, completing an obstacle course, sports training – push-ups, pull-ups, and shuttle running. That is, a wide range of different competitions in all areas that relate to military-patriotic sports games.”

ELIZAVETA CHIKHANTSOVA, student of gymnasium 7 named after V.I. Great: “I think this is very cool and interesting. It develops endurance and discipline.”

On Wednesday, the teams demonstrated their teamwork and ability to act together. The drill competition is the calling card of Zarnitsa.

On the same day, the guys completed theoretical tasks on knowledge of the army regulations and the history of Russia.

ELIZAVETA CHIKHANTSOVA, student of gymnasium 7 named after V.I. Great: “Everyone should know this, because we live in Russia – this is our Motherland. We must know what happened before. So as not to make the mistakes that we made before.”

In May, the regional stage of “Zarnitsa 2.0” will be held in Sevastopol for children aged 14–17 years. The winning teams of two age categories will represent our city at the district level game.
