For the next fire extinguishing exercise at a facility with a large number of people, the clinic of the Bryansk Regional Children’s Hospital was chosen. According to legend, an office on the second floor of a three-story building caught fire.
After the automatic fire alarm system was triggered, the staff of the medical facility evacuated visitors before the arrival of firefighters and took initial measures to extinguish the conditional fire.
Already at the scene of the incident, the smoke protection service units, having assessed the situation, set out to rescue the victims, search for the source of the fire and eliminate it. As a result, with the help of a ladder truck, a person trapped in an office was evacuated from a window on the 3rd floor.
Another conditionally injured person, who after the operation could not move independently, was found on the 2nd floor. He was carried out on a stretcher, wearing a hood-type rescue device, and handed over to doctors.
The operational headquarters began working on the spot. Arriving units connected fire trucks to hydrants and fired fire nozzles to extinguish the mock fire. The fire was soon localized and then extinguished.
Nine special vehicles and 83 personnel took part in the exercise. Acting Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Bryansk Region Nikolai Yankov noted the coherence and efficiency of the actions of all services of the clinic and fire departments.
