On April 23, 2024, the head and students of the regency and singing department of the Don Theological Seminary attended a concert in honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the first rector of the Rostov State Conservatory, Vladimir Shipulin.
The women’s choir of the Russian State Conservatory named after S. V. Rachmaninov performed before the audience under the direction of Galina Khoroshailo (choirmaster Alexander Golovnev) with sacred and secular choral music of Russian classical composers, as well as works by modern composers.
The concert was conducted by Evelina Khodosh, Honored Worker of the Higher School, Professor of the Department of Choral Conducting, student of Vladimir Shipulin.
In her welcoming speech, the professor of the department of choral conducting, on behalf of the teaching staff of the department, expressed gratitude to the head of the regency school, Hieromonk Averky (Shaposhnikov), and the regent of the Great Metropolitan Choir, Protodeacon Vladimir Zubritsky, for their attention to the personality of Vladimir Shipulin, as well as for opening the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the first rector prayer at the place of his burial.
At the end of the concert, the audience learned about the biography and creative path of Professor Vladimir Shipulin.
