The competition is held within the framework of the state program “Implementation of state national policy in the Republic of Tatarstan” with the aim of promoting and preserving the national traditions and customs of the peoples living on the territory of the Russian Federation, identifying and encouraging the most significant and talented journalistic works covering the life, culture and traditions of peoples Russia, issues of ethnocultural development and cultural heritage.
The founder and organizer of the Competition is the Republican Agency for Press and Mass Communications with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Every year, more than 250 representatives of media editorial offices from more than 50 regions of the Russian Federation take part in the Competition.
The winners of the Competition are awarded diplomas and cash prizes in six categories (Grand Prix – 500 thousand rubles, 1st place – 100 thousand rubles, 2nd place – 70 thousand rubles, 3rd place – 50 thousand rubles).
The awards ceremony for the winners of the Competition will take place in Kazan in October 2024.
