Citizens between the ages of 18 and 60 who have successfully passed a medical examination can take up contract military service.

Contract soldiers serving in the Northern Military District zone are paid monthly from 210 thousand rubles. In addition, they are provided with social payments and benefits. When concluding a contract for a period of 1 year or more, a one-time payment is made according to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation in the amount of 195 thousand rubles. At the regional level, Kursk residents are also paid a lump sum of 100 thousand rubles.

Additional support for contract military personnel is provided by representatives of national public organizations of the Kursk region. For example, the Union of Armenians of Russia encourages with one-time payments in the amount of 50 thousand rubles citizens of Armenia and citizens of the Russian Federation of Armenian nationality, registered at their place of residence in the Kursk region and who have entered into a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to participate in a special operation.

As a federal additional benefit, SVO participants are assigned the status of combat veterans and are provided with credit and tax holidays. For their children, budget places are provided at universities, as well as free recreation in summer health camps. At the regional level, another support measure has been introduced – a reduction in the mortgage lending rate by no less than 2.99%.
