“They cut off the roots”: Yaroslavl residents complain about the improvement of the park in Bragino

People are unhappy that contractors have damaged trees growing in the park.

We are talking about the 30th Anniversary of Victory Park in the Dzerzhinsky district, where work on the comprehensive improvement of public territory began on April 1. They are being carried out under the national project “Housing and the Urban Environment” of the federal project “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment”. The contractor, Yardorremstroy LLC, plans to complete the improvement by August 31, and the contract cost was 64.6 million rubles.

There are a lot of plans, as they say. This includes a pier, replacement of tiles, and installation of small architectural forms and lamps. But the technique of performing the work, according to local residents, is strange.

“Improvement” in the Bragin park continues. Apparently deciding that there were too many trees and not enough paths, they dug a trench right through the trees, cutting off their roots and carefully placing them next to each other,”

“What a nightmare (now the most beautiful young pines will die just like the elms and lindens on the opposite side of the park after the last “improvement”. And instead of our beautiful park, there will be slab-concrete nonsense,”

“At least they left trees here. All the trees, both good and bad, were cut down in Jubilee Park. It’s not a park now, but a wasteland. Some pillars stick out where the rope park is. And the fact that they planted small bushes, they will grow in about twenty years! In general, they only know how to ruin everything here.”– Yaroslavl residents are indignant.

Citizens propose to write a collective complaint and collect signatures against such improvement.
