Museum guests will get acquainted with the anniversary exhibition “GAGARIN – the first cosmonaut of the Earth”, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin. Among more than three hundred exhibits you can see unique memorial items, photographs, personal belongings, documents, student notes that belonged to the first cosmonaut.

The exhibition presents letters and telegrams from all over the Soviet Union with words of admiration and gratitude addressed to the parents of Yuri Alekseevich. Truly worldwide fame fell on the native of the Smolensk region after his legendary flight.

For all the peoples of the Earth, Yuri Gagarin became a messenger of peace and progress. Particular attention of visitors will be attracted by the gifts presented to Gagarin in Czechoslovakia, India, Bulgaria, Sri Lanka, Cuba, Afghanistan, as well as the white ceremonial jacket, known from many photographs, in which Yuri Alekseevich was in Cuba in July 1961.

Modern digital technologies, original designer color and lighting solutions, three-dimensional models of orbital ships and flight suits will help you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of space!
