TomskRTS plans to repair more than 600 kilometers of heating mains in the city during the summer repair campaign of 2024. The overhaul and reconstruction will affect about ten kilometers of pipes, the organization’s press service reported. Thermal insulation will be restored on almost three kilometers of above-ground heating mains.
Thus, the company will have to replace problematic sections of heating networks on Krasnoarmeyskaya, Shevchenko streets, the intersection of Belozerskaya and Krivoy streets, on Mira Avenue and Moskovsky tract. In April, work also began on replacing heating networks on Frunze Avenue; they are proceeding in stages.
“Large-scale work is planned to be carried out on Nakhimov Street. Here, the contracting organization of the TomskRTS company will carry out the reconstruction of heating main No. 4 with a total length of about one kilometer. To minimize the period of absence of hot water for consumers during the repair period, specialists are developing a backup scheme for connecting subscribers,” the message says.
About two kilometers of district heating networks are planned to be replaced as part of a major overhaul in the area of the Irkutsk Highway. It is planned to begin work immediately after the end of the heating period.
In addition, the company plans to build a central heating station No. 74 (CHS-74) and heating supply lines to connect four residential buildings on Tverskaya Street to the centralized heating system. Now they are powered from the boiler room of the former Krasnaya Zvezda factory; the owner plans to decommission the boiler room in the fall.
It is noted that this summer the final stage of reconstruction of pumping station No. 4 (PNS-4) will take place at Kashtak. Work here has been going on for several years. During the modernization, powerful pumping units were installed at the facility, electrical equipment and instrumentation were updated, TomskRTS said. This year it is planned to install another modern pump and frequency converter at PNS-4.
