The duty station of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Kaluga received a message that a citizen with a knife wound had been taken to a medical facility.
Police officers established the circumstances under which the Kaluga resident received bodily injuries, as well as the suspect in committing this act.
According to the police, a local resident was in the apartment with her roommate. While drinking alcoholic beverages, citizens communicated with each other. However, at some point the conversation escalated into a verbal altercation and the defendant grabbed a kitchen knife during the quarrel and then stabbed her opponent in the stomach. Seeing the blood, the suspect called an ambulance, which took the victim to a medical facility.
According to the expert opinion, the bodily injuries caused serious harm to the man’s health.
Based on this fact, Investigative Department No. 3 of the Investigative Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kaluga opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime provided for in paragraph “h” of Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, committed with the use of a weapon or an object used as a weapon”
According to current legislation, the sanction of the article for committing this act provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 10 years.
