In Tyumen, an 8-year-old schoolboy on a scooter was hit by the wheels of a foreign car. The child drove through a pedestrian intersection without dismounting with the SIM.

In Tyumen, on the zebra crossing on Mitinsky Street, 5, the day before, an 8-year-old child on a mechanical scooter was hit by a Geely Emgrand car. The car was driven by a 51-year-old driver.

The boy, who was moving along the pedestrian crossing without dismounting from his scooter, was injured. According to the press service of the traffic police for the Tyumen region, all the circumstances of the accident are being clarified.

In April of this year, five children on scooters were already injured in traffic accidents in the regional capital. All of them were driving along pedestrian crossings without dismounting from the SIM. Two students rode mechanical scooters, while the other three were on electric scooters.

Currently, raids aimed at the safety of teenagers are taking place in rural areas of the Tyumen region. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate identify those who drive motor vehicles without a driver’s license.

So, yesterday in the village of Uspenka, Tyumen region, traffic police officers stopped two teenagers, 12 and 14 years old, on an ATV and a moped. It turned out that schoolchildren do not have the right to drive motor vehicles, and the ATV and moped belong to their parents. The parents explained that the keys to the equipment were freely available, and the children took them without permission.

Information regarding cases of children driving motor vehicles will be sent to the juvenile affairs unit.
