The industrial production index in the Nizhny Novgorod region amounted to 106.1% in the first quarter of 2024

The industrial production index in the Nizhny Novgorod region amounted to 106.1% in January-March 2024 compared to January-March 2023. Deputy Governor of the region Yegor Polyakov reported this on his Telegram channel on April 24.

According to him, the index in manufacturing was 106.2%. Polyakov noted an increase in the production of motor vehicles (+1.6 times) and the production of chemicals (+7.2%), as well as the production of finished metal products +30.2%.

Egor Polyakov added that metallurgy entered the positive zone for the first time since the beginning of 2023 and showed an increase of +2.6%. Growth is observed in 13 out of 21 key types of manufacturing industries.

Let us recall that in January-February 2024, the industrial production index in the region was 109.3%, and in manufacturing – 109.8%.
