In 2024, municipalities of the Upper Volga region will be provided with funds from the regional budget for the implementation of tourism projects. The issue was considered at a meeting of the Government of the Tver Region.

Support is provided on a competitive basis. This year there were three winners. Thus, in the Toropets district, measures will be taken to equip the House of Patriarch Tikhon, where major work had previously taken place on the eve of the celebration of the 950th anniversary of Toropets. For the tourist display site, it is planned to purchase furniture, display cases, shelving, information tablets, stands, multimedia and sound equipment.

In addition, the Likhoslavl district will receive funds for the development of the Myammino ethnic complex. Gazebos, tents, generators, sound equipment, and lighting for the festival site will be purchased for it. “Myammino” is one of the centers of tourist events in the Likhoslavl region. It is popular among residents and guests of the Tver region. In particular, since 2023, the traditional International Festival of Karelian Pie “Kalitka” has been taking place here, which attracts thousands of visitors.
The Rzhev District is also among the winners. On the territory of the municipality, with the support of the region, ten fair houses will be installed in the main venues for mass and event events.
