A Chelyabinsk resident is accused of cruelty to an animal with the aim of causing pain and suffering, resulting in its injury.
According to the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office, the shocking incident occurred in October 2023. A drunken Chelyabinsk resident made a stream on the social network Vkontakte, where he showed abuse of his pet cat. He kicked the animal, stepped on it, threw it from the second floor, and then held its head under water in the toilet.
The cat suffered a fracture of the lower jaw, ribs, contusion of internal organs, which resulted in injuries, as well as a life- and health-threatening condition.
The torture was stopped by police officers. The animal’s life is not currently in danger; the cat is in a veterinary hospital at the homeless animal center. Twenty thousand rubles were spent on his treatment.
