In the Tula region they plan to create another 31 “Growth Points”, three children’s technology parks “Quantorium” and one digital education center “IT-cube”. The first deputy governor – chairman of the regional government, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, spoke about this during the annual report on the results of the Tula government.

Speaking about education, he noted that in 2023, 33 “Growth Points” had already been created within the framework of the national project. The centers help improve the quality of education in small towns in the region. At the moment, there are 150 “Growth Points” operating in the Tula region, where 18 thousand children are educated.

In addition, this year two new schools will be opened in Tula with a total of 1,700 places. Thus, the number of children taught in the second shift will decrease.

Nine educational institutions were also renovated in Tula, Efremov, Plavsky and Chernsky districts. Computers and presentation equipment were updated in 40 schools.

Earlier, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said that the Tula region was among the top three regions of the Central Federal District for industrial development, and the volume of the region’s GRP exceeded 1 trillion rubles for the first time.
