Residents and the developer will discuss the fate of the infill development on Lavrov Street in the Mayor’s office

--

During a direct line with the Acting Governor, residents of Lavrov Street, 9 of the regional center asked to solve the problem of infill development in their yard. Before this, they repeatedly wrote letters to the developer, but this did not bring results. And about. Mayor of Vologda Andrey Nakroshaev met with residents today.

Residents of houses on Lavrova Street, 9 and 9A are concerned about the construction of a new building next to their houses. Vologda residents are worried about the limited parking area and access to the yard. And high-rise buildings will block sunlight from four houses at once. Vologda residents say that they still dream of a green area where they can take a walk.

“Even now it’s impossible to turn around in our yard, but imagine what will happen when these houses are built? Even if parking is provided, it will not be enough. Everything will be filled with cars.”– says local resident Timofey Vasyutin.

Now Vologda residents are also concerned about broken roads, the noise of construction equipment and the safety of children who play on the playground in the immediate vicinity of the construction site.

“All our yards were in good condition after renovation. Now everything is surrounded by a fence, dirt and dampness due to groundwater from the pit. Tractors constantly drive past the playground. I’m scared for the children. Construction starts at 7 a.m., children wake up from the noise, and work also continues on weekends,” – says local resident Timofey Vasyutin.

The representative of the construction company ZhilStroyIndustriya, Dmitry Bobrov, at a meeting with residents was unable to give answers to the questions that concern residents. In particular, how many apartments are planned in the building under construction and how many floors it will have.

“My colleagues from the Department of Urban Development and I will check for violations and next week we will invite residents along with the developer to a reception to discuss the problem. The way the developer communicates with residents is unacceptable. We’ll figure out”, – Acting Mayor of Vologda Andrey Nakroshaev made a decision following the meeting.
