The trial of the former press secretary of the Saratov mayor’s office begins in the Oktyabrsky District Court

The trial of Vladimir Moiseenko begins in the Oktyabrsky District Court of Saratov. The former head of the economic development department of the Fedorovsky district administration will be tried for the murder of his wife, reports the Investigative Directorate for the Saratov Region.

According to investigators, on the night of August 8, 2023, in house number 23 on Sovetskaya Street in Saratov, Moiseenko, being drunk, quarreled with his wife and struck her multiple blows with his hands and feet, as well as with an unidentified object. Investigators believe he pressed his wife’s neck with an object until she stopped breathing.

Moiseenko was charged with murder. After his arrest, he tried to get his house arrest reduced, but was unsuccessful. He does not admit his guilt.
