Moscow. 25th of April. INTERFAX – Over 15.8 million passengers used Moscow’s Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports in the first three months of 2024, which is 8% more than the same period in 2023, the Moscow Department of Transport reports.

“We continue to observe a steady increase in passenger traffic at the airports of the Moscow aviation hub. People have begun to travel more often, including within the country. The number of passengers is increasing every month. For example, in March of this year, compared to last year, the passenger traffic at Vnukovo Airport increased by 15%.” , said Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport Maxim Liksutov, whose words are quoted in a message published in the telegram channel of the capital’s department of transport on Thursday.

He noted that the number of passengers on domestic flights increased by 3.7%, and on international flights by 18%.

In total, over 15.8 million passengers used three Moscow airports in January-March, which is 8% more than in the first three months of 2023, the report says.
