Kursk businessman Anton Tyapochkin, suspected of theft at a facility in Dmitrovsk, was released from the Oryol pre-trial detention center. The director of the contracting organization “Kvarta-L” will go to his native Kursk, where he will be under house arrest.

As reported in the Oryol Regional Court, when making a decision, not only the severity of the crime was taken into account, but also data on the state of health, the strength of social ties and marital status. Judging that there was no point in hiding from the investigation for Tyapochkin, it was decided to place him under house arrest until May 30.

Let us remind you that a Kursk contractor who has a public conflict with Governor Roman Starovoyt was detained on suspicion of fraud (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to investigators, the entrepreneur, while working in Dmitrovsk, installed children’s and sports equipment of inadequate quality.

Tyapochkin had already been convicted before. In 2022, he was also accused of fraud.
