Investigators are investigating a criminal case after the discovery of a dead baby in a plastic container at a garage cooperative.

The child’s parents turned out to be 17 year old girl and 20 year old young man The baby’s mother did not register for pregnancy and childbirth in medical institutions. A week after birth, the child died. One of the causes of death could have been sudden infant death syndrome. The parents decided to bury the child themselves: they put him in a plastic container, took him to the territory of the garage cooperative and buried him in the snow. In April of this year, passers-by discovered the container.

Investigators from the Investigative Committee are currently working with the baby’s parents. All the circumstances of the incident are being established. The criminal investigation continues. The head of the investigation department, Vladimir Usov, is monitoring the progress of the investigation.
