The canine service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Vladimir Region accepted new German Shepherd puppies for service. They came from the service dog breeding kennel of PKU IK-6 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Moscow region.

– Three purebred puppies will have to undergo full training, receive specialization and replace the “veterans” who will retire, – reported in the press service of the department.

Initially, dog handlers carefully observe how dogs express themselves in games, what qualities are most clearly visible in them. This is how they determine which specific area of service each pup is suitable for.

– Someone cannot sit still and is very inquisitive – this is suitable for work in the search for narcotic drugs, while another has a melancholic character – he will be effective in detecting explosives. Anyone who shows courage and is not afraid of loud sounds and bangs will learn the skills of apprehending criminals – experts explain.

Puppies Simba, Santa and Spartak will first undergo a general training course (basic obedience commands), and then a special one (in the area of activity in which the dog will be involved).
