The Russian Olympic Committee in Moscow summed up the results of the All-Russian Award “Sports Facilities – 2024”. The Olympic Glory Park in Kemerovo won the award in the “Best Sports Cluster of Russia” category.
The Olympic Glory Park includes two multifunctional sports complexes – the Kuzbass Ice Palace and the Kuzbass Arena, as well as the Phygital Center, Moskovskaya Square – the largest in Kuzbass, with a capacity of up to 100 thousand people, and the new Tom embankment.
The Kuzbass Ice Palace is designed for simultaneous training of thousands of athletes; there are departments for speed skating, swimming, water polo, triathlon, football, curling and others. The Kuzbass Arena has halls for martial arts, team sports, table tennis, dance sports, and weightlifting. In addition, there is an 8-lane swimming pool, a 16-meter-high climbing wall, and the first artificial wave for surfing in Kuzbass. The main volleyball arena is designed for 6 thousand spectators.
