Another electric charging station opened in the regional center. On April 24, within the framework of the IV International Environmental Forum “Ecology: City, Economy, People”, the festival “ElectroFest-2024” was held in Vologda, reports the press service of the city administration.
The festival program of the event also included a motor rally, an exhibition of electric vehicles and a conference on the development of environmental transport.
An ultra-fast power station was installed near the Vologda Sports Palace on Marshal Konev Street. Its power exceeds 150 kilowatts, which allows you to charge an electric car in about half an hour, and sometimes faster. In total, there are 19 similar chargers for electric cars in different parts of Vologda. All these facilities were built with business funds.
After the opening ceremony, a car rally took place through the city streets, in which guests from Cherepovets, St. Petersburg, Moscow and the Republic of Belarus took part. 10 electric cars completed the route on Revolution Square, where an exhibition of such cars was held.
In the creative space “Salute, youth!” A conference was held on the development of environmental transport, including electric transport. At the meeting, speakers from Vologda, Moscow, Yaroslavl, St. Petersburg, Cherepovets and Minsk spoke about trends and prospects in this direction, as well as international experience in the development of the electric vehicle industry, and presented the practices of various cities.
In the regional capital, the municipal project “Development of Electric Transport” is being implemented, which is part of the “EcoVologda” strategy. According to experts, our regional capital is highly equipped with electric charging stations, which contributes to the development of environmentally friendly personal transport. This work is being carried out in the city together with the regional Association of Electric Vehicle Owners.
