Work is already underway at many sites

In 2024, in the Trans-Ural region, with the involvement of funds from the national project “Safe Quality Roads”, it is planned to bring 9 bridge structures and about 300 km of regional and municipal roads to standard condition, reports the Department of Construction, State Expertise and Housing and Communal Services of the Kurgan Region.

“Large-scale modernization of the region’s road network is being carried out on behalf of the Governor of the Kurgan Region Vadim Shumkov. Contractors have already begun repair work,” the report notes.

Thus, in the Belozersk district, on the roads “Belozerskoye – Pyankovo” and “Approach to Tyumen” – Skaty – Ordina, a leveling layer is currently being laid. Preparatory work began there in 2023.

In the Shumikha district, on the Shumikha-Trusilovo road, the removal of heaps and the construction of special ditches to widen the roadway are underway. The contractor will also repair the roads “Shumikha – Karandashovo”, “Shumikha – Michurinets” and a section within the city boundaries of the regional highway “Irtysh” – Shumikha – Ust-Uyskoye – Kazakhstan border.”

In the Ketovsky district, the road “Approach to the village of Ikovka” is being repaired – the existing surface has been completely milled, preparations are underway for laying asphalt.

In the Almenevsky district, on the Malyshevo – Almenevo road, culverts are being laid, roadsides are being dismantled and slopes are being strengthened. Major road repairs will provide the district center with uninterrupted transport links with other settlements.

In the city of Kurgan, overpasses along Burova-Petrova Street and bridges across the Chernaya River along Golikov Avenue and Karbysheva Street are being overhauled. Currently, the contractor is starting to repair Koli Myagotina Street.

In Shadrinsk, the overhaul of the bridge over the Kanash River on the street continues. Pervomaiskaya.

“Previous years have set a high pace of work. The contractors are ready. Construction materials, equipment and labor resources have been prepared in sufficient quantities. Asphalt concrete plants are being launched. The road workers are in a good mood,” noted Irina Sablukova, director of the Department of Construction, State Expertise and Housing and Communal Services of the Kurgan Region.

Let us remind you that over 5 years, starting from 2019, more than 2,000 kilometers of roads of regional, intermunicipal and municipal importance have been put in order in the region.
