On April 27, the road expedition “100,000 kilometers of opportunities” will pass through Kursk. The rally started on April 8 in Moscow at VDNKh. It became a record, as it covered 85 regions of Russia, including new annexed territories.

The organizer of the expedition is Russian television journalist, author and presenter of programs on automotive topics, racing driver and traveler with 25 years of experience, Andrei Leontyev.

– The participants of the road expedition have four main goals: to tell a wide audience about the people who contributed to the development of their small homeland, to set a world record for a road rally within the borders of one country along a non-repeating route, to conduct a full audit of attractions, road routes and tourist infrastructure of the country, and also to recreate and complement the famous collection of color photographs of Sergei Prokudin-Gorsky, the city administration said.

The expedition will end with a photo project. A voluminous archive will be collected here in book format in online and printed versions, as well as a series of documentaries about Russia.

The motor rally finishes in October in Magadan, on the shore of Nagaevskaya Bay.
