The main symbol of the action is a black and orange ribbon as one of the main attributes of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War. During the event, the St. George Ribbon became one of the main symbols of the unity, courage and valor of our Russian people. 1,500 volunteers in our region will distribute more than 70 thousand St. George ribbons.

Various master classes took place at the event: volunteers showed different design options for the St. George Ribbon, and those present also had the opportunity to write a letter of gratitude, which will be given to WWII veterans on May 9, and to indicate the name of their hero on a postcard, hanging it on a tree of memory.
In the Tver region, the action will last until May 9 and will cover all municipalities. “Victory Volunteers”, activists of youth associations, students and schoolchildren will distribute St. George’s ribbons at patriotic rallies, ceremonial processions and simply on city streets, telling fellow countrymen about the history of this symbol.
It is recommended to wear the St. George ribbon on the left side of the heart; there is no need to attach ribbons to bags, phones, cars,” said volunteer Arina Belyakova.
In total, about 1,500 volunteers in the region will distribute more than 70 thousand St. George ribbons.
The St. George Ribbon campaign started in 2005. Its main slogan is “St. George’s Ribbon. I remember! I’m proud”.
