On the afternoon of April 21, in the Kabansky district, a 53-year-old man was found in one of the houses in the village of Poselye. He had numerous bruises to his body, head and broken ribs, the Investigative Committee of Buryatia reported.
Law enforcement officers detained a 34-year-old relative of the victim who had previously been convicted. During interrogation, he spoke in detail about the murder. A criminal case was opened against the young man under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).
According to the investigation, in December last year the villager invited his nephew to visit. Since then, he has repeatedly drank alcohol together.
– On April 20, in the evening, amid alcohol intoxication, a quarrel occurred between relatives, during which the attacker struck numerous blows to various parts of the body of the owner of the house with his hands and feet. In the morning, the accused discovered that he had died, the report says.
The accused has now been taken into custody. An investigation is underway.
