The Eastern Military District Army Tactical Shooting Championship started in Buryatia : Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation

The Eastern Military District championship in army tactical shooting all-around, dedicated to the memory of the Hero of Russia, Guard Colonel Vitaly Sukuev, started at the training ground of the Guards Tank Brigade of the Eastern Military District, it will last until April 27. Military personnel from Buryatia, Trans-Baikal, Primorsky, and Khabarovsk territories take part in the competition. The guest of honor at the championship was Vitaly’s mother, Lyubov Sukueva. At the opening ceremony of the championship, the Russian and republican flags were raised to the anthems of Russia and the Republic of Buryatia.

The competition program includes 8 specially designed exercises, and shooting ranges have been built. Various scenarios of shooting and assault actions are practiced at the competition sites, using a pistol, machine gun and rifle. Military personnel compete for individual and team championships, working in combat teams of twos and threes.

Team competitions take into account not only shooting accuracy, but also high-speed shooting, work in small groups using grenade launchers and fpv drones. Also in the competition, locations were created for storming strong points, working in trenches, and on the move with an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV). Based on the results of the championship, an educational and methodological program for military personnel will be developed.

Army competitions develop the shooting skills needed by our soldiers. The championship features shooting exercises close to combat conditions, based on the experience of a special military operation in Ukraine. As part of the competition, instructors and judges explain and detail some of the participants’ mistakes and teach them the necessary actions in combat conditions. The championship instructors are military personnel and representatives of the Army Tactical Shooting Federation of Buryatia and judges who have real combat experience.

In competitions everything is aimed at learning. Representatives from the entire Eastern Military District gathered here. The servicemen who came to the competition will return to their units, the units will share their experience with colleagues, tell and show what shooting options can be used in combat operations.
