In Kursk, the court recovered from the insurance company moral damages and a fine in favor of the owner of the car injured in the accident.
The accident occurred in December 2022. First, the car owner asked the insurer to organize an independent examination because he did not agree with his repair decisions. He did not receive an answer and filed a lawsuit.
After the plaintiff applied to the court, the defendant sent him a copy of the independent expert report. But since this was done in violation of the established deadlines, the court recovered 37.5 thousand rubles from the insurance company. This amount included compensation for moral damage, a fine and legal fees.
“The defendant appealed the decision on appeal, but the Kursk regional court left it unchanged,” noted the United Press Service of the Judicial System of the Kursk Region.
