On the highway in the Kashira district, a crossover crashed into a tractor-trailer transporting an excavator standing on the side of the road. As a result of the accident, three people were injured, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Voronezh Region reported.
The accident occurred at approximately 04.45 on Wednesday, April 24, on the 551st km of the M-4 Don federal highway. According to the preliminary version of the traffic police, a 53-year-old resident of Moscow, while driving a Volkswagen Tiguan, lost control and collided with a standing SITRAK heavy truck with a semi-trailer.
The driver of the foreign car, as well as his two passengers aged 32 and 50 years, received bodily injuries, the severity of which was not specified by the department. The victims were taken from the scene to the hospital for treatment.
– The police are conducting an investigation into this fact, establishing all the circumstances and reasons for what happened, the department summed up.
