The annual local history game “Pskov through the centuries” was held for schoolchildren from city schools, gymnasiums and lyceums in the Pskov Museum-Reserve. PAI was informed about this by the press service of the institution.

“The game is designed to develop local history and research skills in schoolchildren. During the game, everyone could demonstrate their erudition and knowledge of the history of their hometown. This year the theme of the game is “Literary Pskov,” noted the museum’s press service.

At the museum, schoolchildren combined details of Pushkin’s fairy tales with the peasant life of the 19th century, and then guessed the writers after whom the streets of Pskov were named. In total, about 130 children took part in the game.

The game was organized by the Center for Children and Youth Tourism and Excursions with the support of the Museum Educational Center of the Pskov Museum, the Pskov Regional Scientific Library, the Center for Tourism and Creative Industries, and the Education Department of the Pskov Administration.
