Residents of Nizhny Novgorod complain to the head of the region, Gleb Nikitin, about the noise from the construction of the metro in the area of Freedom Square. Nizhny Novgorod residents report that metro construction workers work around the clock and interfere with sleep. Citizens write about this on social networks.
A Nizhny Novgorod resident living at house No. 1 on Vaneeva Street complained that the builders of the new metro station on Freedom Square are working around the clock, thereby preventing people from sleeping at night. She asked to pay attention to the violation of the law on silence.
“Why did they pass the law on silence?! He does not work. Why does work on the construction of the metro continue after 22:00 on weekdays? We are not sleeping! The metro means a wonderful tomorrow, but we live in a difficult today. Poor quality sleep affects the health, performance, and education of children. The children cannot sleep,” the woman said.
Representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod mayor’s office responded that previously letters had been repeatedly sent to the general contractor demanding compliance with the “Law on Silence,” and penalties had also been applied. The administration apologized for the inconvenience.
