The most investment active were enterprises in the field of hotel and public catering activities
In Murmansk, the volume of investments in fixed assets in 2023 amounted to 133.4 billion rubles. This is 1.5 times more than in 2022. The head of the city administration, Yuri Serdechkin, announced this during a report on the work over the past year.
According to him, the most investment-active enterprises were those in the hotel and catering industry, which increased capital investments to 1.5 billion rubles – this is 68 times more than the 2022 figure.
Projects continue to be actively implemented within the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and the priority development territory. In total, last year there were 121 residents of the Russian Arctic and one resident of the ASEZ operating in the city.
In addition, the head of the administration mentioned the topic of gasification of the Murmansk region. According to him, the work has entered the phase of practical implementation. The decisions were made following Vladimir Putin’s visit to the Murmansk region in the summer of 2023. Gasification is carried out by Gazprom and Novatek.
“We very much hope that the Murmansk region and the city of Murmansk will be gasified in an accelerated manner, which will give a new impetus to development,” said Yuri Serdechkin.
It was previously reported that in 2023, 266.9 billion rubles of investment in fixed assets were allocated for the development of the economy and social sphere of the Murmansk region, which is 9% less than the 2022 figure.
