A mother of many children, performing military duty in the zone of a special military operation, turned to the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Vladimir Region, Yulia Rasnyanskaya, asking for help in organizing summer holidays and health improvement for her three children.

According to the applicant, her husband repeatedly contacted the local Department of Social Protection of the Population with a request for vouchers to summer camps. However, the department clarified that the eldest daughter of the family, who is finishing 9th grade, can only attend the camp in May or June, before she turns 16. Due to upcoming exams, the girl cannot use the voucher within the proposed time frame.

The Commissioner for Children’s Rights sent an appeal to the Ministry of Social Protection of the Population of the Vladimir Region with a request to find an opportunity to provide the children of military personnel with vouchers at a time convenient for the family, taking into account the circumstances.

Thanks to the intervention of the Ombudsman, the applicant’s children were provided with free trips to a summer camp in July.

Earlier, the Children’s Ombudsman reported problems with transport and repairs at the Vladimir school. After inspecting the educational institution, the Commissioner concluded that the school requires repairs. As the children themselves said, the school has good food and medical staff. Teachers complained to the children’s ombudsman about difficulties with transport logistics between Vladimir and Energetik. Yulia Rasnyanskaya took the situation under personal control.
