In Irkutsk, the issue of forming a land plot for a military hospital is being resolved

The authorities of the Irkutsk region are waiting for a land plot to be formed for the construction of a military hospital.

The governor of the Irkutsk region spoke about this Igor Kobzevspeaking at the city mayor’s report Ruslana Bolotova:

“This hospital will be a gift to our soldiers so that they can be treated in our city, close to their family and loved ones.

He noted that the allocation of a land plot in the Right Bank district of Irkutsk has already been agreed upon with the city administration.

The governor also announced plans to build a stadium for 8 thousand people. The authorities are ready to start designing and complete it in the coming year, after which they will submit an application to the federal center for co-financing of construction.

Later, answering questions from Duma deputies, Ruslan Bolotov explained that the stadium is planned to be built where the military hospital was originally supposed to be built – on the territory of IVATU. Plans to build a hospital there had to be abandoned due to restrictions imposed on areas near the airport – now another site has been identified for it.

The governor added that the design of a new building for the regional children’s clinical hospital is being completed – it is planned to be completed in the coming year. Then undergo an examination and apply for federal funding for construction under the national project.

– She [больница] should become the standard of pediatric clinical medicine,” said the head of the region.

Igor Kobzev also reproached the city authorities, recalling the inadmissibility of delaying the construction of kindergartens and schools in the regional center. He noted that the federal center is now identifying teams that fully fulfill all their obligations – and their funding will be increased.

The governor also recalled the opening of the regional Youth House last year and stated that Irkutsk needs its own Youth House or youth center:

– I am sure that the deputies and the mayor and his team will look at options for resolving this issue.
