Vitaly Khotsenko met the patriotic train “Strength in Truth” that arrived in Omsk

The train museum with exhibitions dedicated to the Great Patriotic War and a special military operation arrived at the railway station of the City of Labor Valor on April 17.

The thematic propaganda train of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has been traveling through the regions of Russia since February 23 and will travel more than 34 thousand kilometers until May 8, with stops in 67 constituent entities of the Russian Federation from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad.

The “Strength in Truth” campaign is held on the eve of the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War to recall the history of the fiery years, the feat of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, who at the cost of their lives restored peace on the planet. Today, their valiant work is continued by Russian military personnel who defend the independence and integrity of the country on the borders of the Motherland. The purpose of the information campaign is to counter attempts to falsify history and demonstrate the successes and achievements of the Russian army and navy.

The train arriving in Omsk was greeted with a solemn rally. Governor of the Omsk Region Vitaly Khotsenko noted the special significance of the “Strength in Truth” campaign, timed to coincide with the upcoming Victory Day.

“It is very symbolic that this patriotic action originates from Defender of the Fatherland Day. Omsk – City of Labor Valor. Our city is still forging victory today, and our soldiers are fighting in the zone of a special military operation against the same evil and non-humans that our grandfathers fought during the Great Patriotic War. Thank you to the Ministry of Defense and the President of the country for the opportunity to touch the history of the Victory of our people in the Great Patriotic War, the opportunity to see how it was then and how it is happening now. Very soon we will celebrate a great day for our country – the 79th anniversary of the Victory. There are fewer and fewer front-line soldiers left, direct participants in those events, but we remember the heroic past. And this special exposition of the echelon is a sign of the continuity of glorious patriotic traditions,” noted Vitaly Khotsenko.

The unique propaganda train features large-scale exhibitions about the history of the branches of the Russian Armed Forces, displaying samples of military equipment from the time of the Great Patriotic War to modern weapons of the Russian army.

Today, Omsk residents had the opportunity to get acquainted with interactive exhibitions and exhibits in nine thematic carriages. The platform of the Omsk railway station is more crowded than ever today – there are queues to view the mobile museum. Schoolchildren, students, representatives of the veteran and youth community, military personnel of the Omsk garrison and cadets of military educational institutions, volunteers and members of the Youth Army came to visit the exhibition. Each carriage has its own special exhibition, but they are all about the courage and bravery of soldiers on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War and advanced special military operations. In the carriages you can not only see, but also touch the most modern achievements in the armament of the Russian army: protective equipment for soldiers, models of equipment and simulators. In just a few hours, the event was attended by more than 18.5 thousand people.

As part of the event, the governor of the Omsk region presented state awards to the participants of the SVO. For the courage and courage shown during combat missions, Lieutenant Colonel Alexey Lyovochkin was awarded the Zhukov Medal, Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Tishin was awarded the Medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, 2nd degree.
