Deputies of the Murmansk City Council supported the report of the head of the city administration, Yuri Serdechkin. After the city manager’s speech, he was asked questions about city improvements and road maintenance.

Thus, deputy Sergei Korobkov recalled that this year the Road Management Department is using a combined de-icing material – salt and fractional sand – as an experiment. He noted that the mixture affects the state of public transport equipment. Because of the salt, there was even a transport collapse in the city with trolleybuses stopping.

A different opinion was expressed by deputy Tatyana Kovaleva, who noted that this year the sidewalks in the Arctic capital have become safer.

– I haven’t slipped once this year! When the salt is sprinkled, I just thank the heavens. Last year I also had fractures. This is a very positive moment, I hear this from people too,” she said.

Previously the report of the head of the city of Murmansk Igor Morar was supported by deputies of the city council.
