At a meeting of the Tula Regional Duma, the First Deputy Governor of the Tula Region, Chairman of the Regional Government, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, made reports on the results of 2023. He cited the region’s successes in all areas. An important issue was the topic of improving infrastructure over the past year.

As Fedorishchev said, in 2023 more than 365 km of regional and local roads have been brought to standard. 10 bridges on regional roads were repaired and reconstructed, including the bridge in the Chernsky district and the Moscow overpass in Tula.

This year a bridge across the Upa will open in Tula. The facility is scheduled to be commissioned in the fall.

– We have developed an integrated approach to planning passenger traffic; first of all, the opinion of the citizens themselves is taken into account. Every year the route network of the Tula region increases taking into account the needs of passengers. 3 new intermunicipal routes have been opened, noted Vyacheslav Fedorishchev.

Transport links have been organized in 13 settlements where they were previously absent.

Earlier, Fedorishchev said that the Tula region, following the results of last year, became the third in the Central Federal District in terms of the number of people involved in sports in the region.
