Tambov. 04/25/2024. ABIREG.RU – Deputies decided to transfer Tambov’s electric grid infrastructure into concession, justifying this by the high deterioration of the infrastructure. The report on the meeting appeared on the official website of the City Duma.
Information about the state of the networks was provided to the deputies at the meeting by the future concessionaire himself, ORES-Tambov, who until that moment was only a long-term tenant. According to the company, 27.7% of networks in the city are currently completely worn out, and only every fifth of the transformer substations remains in good condition. This has already led to a decrease in the reliability of power supply in the regional center. Cases of power outages have become more frequent, and the accident rate on networks has increased. A solution, as is now often the case, was found in the concession of city property under the condition of future investments.
The concessionaire immediately showed up in the person of the ORES-Tambov company, which has been leasing city networks since 2005. The long period of cooperation allowed the organization to take away the concession agreement out of competition for a period until October 2030.
“The conclusion of the concession will allow us to modernize and renew municipal property. All new facilities built under the agreement will become municipal property,” the City Duma emphasizes, separately noting that if the facilities were built under a lease agreement, they would remain with ORES-Tambov.
The deputy corps also reports that the agreement does not provide for a concession fee, and the source of financing for the modernization program will be tariff funds received by the resource supplier.
